We were practicing with watercolors and brushes in school yesterday, which was really, really fun! I love working with brushes - it's a shame I don't use that sort of stuff more often. :/ But, anyway! I decided to post two (of four) watercolor sketches/excercises I did!
It was really interesting to create them, even if they didn't take particularly long to make; we all had to draw/paint abstract drawings and in them depict the four feelings Anger, Sorrow, Happiness and Worry. Why? To see how everybody used -sort of- the same colors and shapes for all the four feelings - which was totally awesome to see! Anger all had various reds in it, as well as lots of really sharp objects/lines in it (think; a zapping lightning!), while Sorrow had lots of blues in it and had tear/raindrops in it. Happiness had, as you might guess, lots of pink in it and swirling, "happy" brushstrokes in it. Worry, on the other hand, was pretty hard to define, but most of the drawings contained a streak of purple and a lot of other colors mixed together in what seemed like unsettling brushstrokes; as if someone was completely stressed out when drawing them.

So! Here's my Anger! I'm not that fond of it, but I kinda like it anyway, haha. Lots of reds, and sort of "explosions" of yellow inbetween. It was fun to make, but.. yeah, like I said, it could've looked better. XD But oh well! I think it looks kinda cool, colorwise.

And this is my Sorrow! I like this one a lot better. Lots of lovely blues in it, forming... I don't know what it's forming, haha. But I kept thinking about how Sorrow really breaks into you, spreading inside your body, almost poluting it for a while, before everything gets better. (Weird explanation, I know, but it was fun!)
And that's it for today! :3
